WHAT WE DO

The Commission’s Electronics Recovery Center provides residents and businesses an environmentally sound disposal option for electronic waste (e-waste) such as computers and televisions. All material is evaluated as it enters the facility to determine the next step. End-of-life material is demanufactured into component parts. The component parts are recycled, or shredded and then recycled. Items deemed to have additional useful life are set aside for reuse, pending further evaluation.

The Electronics Recovery Center is ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and R2 (Responsible Recycling) certified. R2 certification ensures data security and environmental stewardship through a set of strict requirements and third-party audits. Read more about our certifications.
