Waste Commission of Scott County provides small businesses with the tools and programs to properly dispose of sharps and biohazard waste. Our goal is to help businesses take what’s toxic out of the trash through our easy, convenient and affordable Business Disposal for Sharps and Biohazard Waste Program.

Business Disposal for Sharps and Biohazard Waste Program

Waste Commission of Scott County makes disposal safe, convenient and affordable for businesses in 3 easy steps.

  1. Pick up sharps and biohazard containers from our Hazardous Material Facility.
  2. Place full sharps containers into the biohazard box for safe storage.
  3. Fill out our Business Recycling or Disposal form or call our Hazardous Material Facility to make an appointment for drop-off.

All business-generated biohazard waste and sharps will be autoclaved/sterilized, compacted, and sent to a medical waste landfill to be disposed of properly.
