Electronics Reuse Gives New Life

In 2015, an electronics reuse program was established at what is now the Electronics Recovery Center. Through the program, electronics that can be reused are identified as they are dropped off by residents or businesses. Commonly refurbished electronics include laptops, VCR and DVD players, record players, speakers, and more! Reuse staff then test these electronics for key functions, make minor fixes, and refurbish them so they are ready for their next life.

Why reuse electronics?

Part of the waste hierarchy, reusing saves natural resources, extends the life of discarded electronics, and retains their value close to home.
