Electronics recycling
Strands of lights—along with computers, monitors, televisions, printers, digital cameras, and video game systems—are considered e-waste. These items may be dropped off for recycling from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 to 11:30 a.m. the first Saturday of the month at the Electronics Recovery Center, 5640 Carey Ave., Davenport. There is no charge for residents from Scott and Rock Island counties. Residents from other counties as well as businesses can recycle electronics for a fee. Click for more info! Residents of Davenport and Bettendorf may place large e-waste items (that do not contain personal data) at the curb for pickup on their recycling/bulky waste day. Get your collection schedule.

Cooking oil

Holiday Recycling Guide for Website edited spacing

WCSC Facilities open regular hours on Friday, April 18. The Scott Area Landfill will be closed Saturday, April 19 in observance of Easter. Normal hours resume April 21, 2025.

Due to strong winds, the Scott Area Landfill will close at noon on Wednesday, December 4th. 

Normal hours resume on Thursday, December 5th.

Attention: Concrete repair occurring on Scott Area Landfill's main driveway from 7/24-7/27.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane. Watch for flaggers directing traffic during the repair.
