Garbage Collection: Consumer Waste, (563) 289-5003, picks up on Mondays. County Waste, (309) 788-3000 picks up on Wednesdays. Allied Waste, (563) 332-0050, picks up on Thursdays. Jeff Wulf Disposal, (563) 381-2089, picks up on Fridays. Jerry's Disposal (563) 324-8573, is also available.
Recycling Collection: Contact Garbage Hauler
Holidays: Haulers recognize six major holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Garbage collection will run one day late for all communities that have collection on or after holiday during the holiday week.
Appliances: Garbage hauler may take for a fee or items may be taken to Waste Commission of Scott County. See
Scott Area Landfill.
Electronic Waste Recycling: Residents may take items to to the
Electronic Demanufacturing Facility for recycling at no charge.
Household Hazardous Materials: Residents may take items to Waste Commission of Scott County,by appointment, at no charge. See
Scott Area Household Hazardous Material Facilities.
Bulky Waste and Tires: Check with garbage hauler or Waste Commission of Scott County. See
Scott Area Landfill.
Brush and Tree Trimmings: May be burned on property that is its place of origin. Burning permitted only on even dates.
Grass and Leaves: Collection may be available through hauler.
Motor Oil: Accepted at the Maintenance Building, 16 Lincoln Avenue, on the first Saturday of every month between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.
Burning Regulations: Lawn waste and trimmings only may be burned on property that is its place of origin. Burning is only permitted on even dates.
